Otaman-series armored personnel carriers – climate control system

Full-fledged climate control system for the Otaman 6×6 and Otaman 8×8 armored personnel carriers.

The system provided by TPU Consists of:
– an independent 12 kW parking heater that warms up the powertrain for a smooth and reliable engine start at low ambient temperatures
– an autonomous forced 4 kW air heater in the crew compartment to create a comfortable environment inside the vehicle
– an air conditioning system of two independently operating modules.

The front module of the air conditioner creates optimal conditions for the cabin with its 4 kW cooling and 2 kW heating power. The rear unit cools the landing compartment down to comfortable temperatures and has 9 kW cooling power.

The FKU 500 is the first field kitchen unit developed and produced in Ukraine. It was developed and implemented in partnership with a local special vehicle builder. The FKU has been field tested by military representatives, adopted for service and launched into serial production.

The FKU 500 container-based kitchen is designed to cater to a group of up to 500 people, thus providing the opportunity to prepare fresh and hot food even in remote areas.

The kitchen module is operated in two configuration modes: ready for transport and in operational mode. When ready for transport, it is a compact 20 ft container, convenient to move by truck or trailer, rail, air or by ship. In the operational mode, the FKU 500 unfolds into an autonomous kitchen measuring 22 m². We have specially selected professional kitchen equipment including an induction stove, a steam boiler, a refrigerator–freezer, a dishwasher, an electric vegetable cutter, a slicer, etc. All these are applied in a special way so the kitchen can be neatly folded back into the transport mode.

Upon special customer request, our engineers even designed and manufactured a food tray that accommodates serving portions according to the standards of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Being our core competence, the TPU team implemented temperature control in the kitchen module and designed and installed air conditioning and heating systems.

Finally, we organized the complete power supply for the field kitchen unit. The mobile kitchen complex is powered by a generator designed and developed by TPU according to the technical specifications of the customer.

The mobile shower and laundry unit – commissioned by the military – is a joint project of TPU in partnership with a local special vehicle builder. The system is designed to meet the daily sanitary and washing needs of servicemen out in the field.

Fully autonomous, the unit has its own fuel and water supply tanks to provide people without immediate access to a hot water supply network an opportunity to take a shower and wash and dry their clothes.

The system can use various types of fuel like diesel, firewood or electricity.
